Academy of Western Art

Prix de West artist Sonya Terpening presents a workshop providing the tools for artists to step out of their comfort zones and reach for a higher level of competency regardless of skill level or style. Students will gain command over the arrangement of pattern, line and value to create a great design and execute it with dynamic brush strokes and color. Terpening strives to help each artist satisfy their own unique sense of what they want to achieve in a painting. Workshop will include demonstrations and exercises on the principles of composition, color theory and developing dynamic brushstrokes.
